How to Fix a Kindle Fire That Won't Turn On
Try these fixes in order until you can turn on your Fire tablet:
Give it a chance to charge. If a Kindle Fire is charging slowly, it might not turn on right when you plug it in, so wait a few minutes and try again.
Check the charger. Make sure you use the charger that came with your device. If it's damaged, fix the broken charger or find another cable and adapter that's compatible with Fire tablets.
Plugging a Fire tablet into a computer USB port could increase charging time or might prevent charging altogether.
Plug the adapter into a different outlet. Charge the device somewhere else. If you suspect a problem with the outlet, plug in a different device or appliance to make sure it works. If possible, connect the charger to another device and plug it in to make sure the cable and adaptor work properly.
Avoid charing a Fire tablet in areas that are very hot or very cold to avoid damage to the battery.
Perform a soft reset. A soft reset resolves many common issues without affecting any data on the device. Press and hold the Power button for 40 seconds, then release. The charge indicator light should turn on after several seconds, and then the Kindle Fire should reboot.
Replace the tablet's battery. Amazon doesn't offer replacement batteries specifically for their devices, but you can find replacement batteries for Fire tablets from third-party manufacturers.
